THE USE OF TANKS FOR THE UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION

The tanks which are not strengthened Can be installed underground on conditions that a specially prepared place of instalation is provided:

-A concrete footing;

-The opening for the tank installation must prevent the contact of the tank with the soil; its walls must be protected from external pressure.

The strengthened tanks with the thickened wals or specially designed for underground installation (septic tanks) are mounted according to the requirements stated below:

- the maximum depth of installation is a not more than 80 cm;

- mounting a tank on the roads is forbidden;

- mounting a tank on the steep slopes is forbidden because of the danger of landslides;

- the use and operation of the tanks in the open area is forbidden.

- If the level of the subterranean waters is higher than the bottom of a tank it must be put into a concrete insulating well.

- In case of need to provide a pressurized mechanical junction of the branching it is necessary to seal the junction with the silicone sealant or any other appropriate material.

With the purpose of the correct underground mounting it is necessary to act in the following way:

1. To prepare a foundation pit of the appropriate size; the feasible distance from the walls of the tank is about 30 cm .

2. Put the layer of sand of no less than 15 cm thick on the bottom of the foundation pit , so, that a tank would be on a horizontal flat surface.

3. Prepare the junction and mount the tank horizontally in the foundation pit.

4. To prevent the unexpected reduction of the flow, make sure that a tank is equipped with a vent pipet, corresponding the capacity of thef pump.

5. Test the prepared junctions (on this stage do not fill the tank for more, than 15 cm).

6. Iit is necessary to build a sand layer of about 15 cm round the tank and ram it down.

7. After it fill the tank with water and execute the alternate filing up (15-20 cm thick) of the mixture of sand and clay, every layer must be well rammed down.

Note: It is forbidden to mount a filler, which is not foreseen by the producer.

Attention! The wrong filling up of the tank under the ground can cause the deformation of the construction. In that case the guarantee does not extend to the tank.
